The Cliffs mech/motor is working fine, but not having the ball travel all the way to the top for Guilder/Battle selection (after Cliffs of Insanity). The game compensates for it, so still completely playable. Neil and I tried to fix it with mech Settings last night. We'll look into other solutions online.
I read through the Multimorphic support wiki and worked through the troubleshooting documentation. Even though I'd never really noticed it when playing the game, when I was testing things out in the diagnostics app, I did hear a sound that suggested something was binding at the top of the cliffs. So I pulled that mechanism out of the machine, disassembled it, and made a couple of adjustments (biased the magnet toward the back of the cliffs mechanism, and then also sanded some plastic off the edge where it's coming into contact with the back of the cliffs face). It still seemed to be binding when testing it by hand, but when I reassembled everything and tested it out in the machine, everything is working smoothly now. The ball is making it all the way up and around the top of the cliffs, and it's rolling down the back side as expected.
FYI, I opened support issue 2876 with Multimorphic when I thought that I'd need their further assistance. I'll see if they get back to me on it, but I've reported that things seem to be working properly now.
I spoke too soon. The ball is consistently making it over the top of the cliffs mechanism, but I think that the mech is having an issue getting back down. It's making an audible straining noise, and on one occasion, it caused the mechs to lose its correct home position. When I re-qualified the Guilder shot, the magnet wasn't in position to capture the ball, and it just fell into the trough and the game kicked out a new one.
I've updated the Multimorphic support issue and will wait to hear from them. I'll try to get back in to look at it within a few days.
