I played several games on this and didn't see any evidence of a switch getting stuck or being too closely gapped. However, there were several times (especially with good spinner rips) when the game's scoring mechanism, which is tied to how quickly it can activate the chimes, couldn't keep up with the rate at which I was scoring points, so it took some time to catch up. So in those cases, the scoring continued after the events that caused it, but it eventually caught up.
Did the game keep scoring non-stop until you shut it off, or did it eventually stop after a fairly reasonable amount of time? If it's the latter, then that might just be how it works.
